UPenn’s Introduction to Dental Medicine

This semester I have been looking for different virtual opportunities to learn more about dentistry. I was very excited when I discovered UPenn’s Introduction to Dental Medicine course offered on the open online learning platform, Coursera. The 7 week course consists of a series of pre-recorded video lectures on topics ranging from Dental Medicine’s Relation to Public Health to dental and oral anatomy and physiology. The videos have embedded links to encourage further readings and questions to test for understanding. There is even a discussion forum to interact with others taking the course and demonstrations in clinical settings. I have found this experience to be very valuable and encourage others to check it out!
